I went to the New England Aquarium with my family and fell in love with all the penguins! I took so many pictures. When I got home, I couldn't stop drawing them. I was particularly fascinated by their interactions and enjoyed imagining what they might be thinking.

White ink on black paper, with a few in silver ink. Most are 8x10" on cotton paper, some are 9x12" on regular art paper. Images are cropped slightly.

While visiting Hokkaido for the snow festival, I noticed how the trees covering the mountains made thick black lines along the edges. I became mesmerized by this phenomenon and, with a thick black marker, filled entire sketchbooks with my attempts to capture it using a stippling technique. Most pieces are between 4x6" and 5x7".  $30 for each original piece. Discounts available for multiples.
